Completion of the construction of WWTP of Agiokampos, Kato Sotiritsa & Velika

Following the successful completion of construction and commissioning, the Wastewater Treatment Plant of Agiokampos, Kato Sotiritsa and Velika, a project with positive results in both natural and anthropogenic environmental sectors, is undergoing a trial operation.

The operation of the WWTP will enable hundreds of homes, shops and businesses to be served with the continuous consolidation of the sewerage network. Furthermore, the absorptive sumps, which degrade the quality of groundwater, will be gradually eliminated and the quality of the natural recipient’s waters will be protected, which is no other than the sea area.

The total budget of this large and difficult project to complete, with regard to the construction of the Wastewater Treatment Facility, was 4,750,000 euro, funded by NSRF.
