It is an innovative technology offered by BIOTHANE VEOLIA , designed to treat wastewater from F&B industries with a wide range of COD and high SS (suspended solids) and/or FOG (fats and oils) in an efficient and effective way.

Sparthane container’s dimensions are 6.06m x 2.44m x 2.60m,  having the necessary electromechanical and laboratory/scientific equipment. Sparthane can treat all liquid waste streams of the production process. The maximum daily amount of liquid waste needed by the pilot unit is 1m3 (1000L).

The purpose of the pilot model is to evaluate specific parameters such as:

  • The treatment of the pollutant load
  • Biogas production and its profile
  • Processing through extreme states and load values
  • The determination of design and operational parameters on an industrial scale
  • The assessment of physical separation of biomass
