Industrial Wastewater Anaerobic Treatment Plant for a dairy industry

The project concerns the design and construction of a prototype unit for the anaerobic wastewater treatment through  Memthane® anaerobic technology.

Memthane® technology is an Anaerobic Membrane Reactor (AnMBR) that produces excellent quality effluent that can be reused or discharged directly to the sewer, while maximizing biogas production and boosting the renewable energy sector.

The biogas generated by this process is used to fuel the on-site CHP plant (Combined Heat and Power unit), helping the dairy industry to be carbon neutral, as the CHP fumes are reused for thermal exploitation.
