Project presentation at the 7th Environmental Conference of Macedonia
The 7th Environmental Conference of Macedonia was held online from October 30th to November 1st 2020. During the Conference there was an extensive presentation of the environmental project of anaerobic wastewater treatment of the BIZIOS SA dairy (Elassona, Thessaly), by Dr. Vassilis Diamantis, Environmental Engineer and member of the laboratory teaching staff of the Democritus University of Thrace.
The construction of the integrated anaerobic treatment plant for industrial wastewater through Memthane technology, was carried out by TEDRA group and was put into operation two months ago. The project is a fundamental environmental solution for the region of Elassona and at the same time a good practice for enhancing environmental awareness in a wide range of industries.
The Environmental Conference of Macedonia is organized every 3 years by the Association of Greek Chemists – Regional Department of Central & Western Macedonia, in Thessaloniki and is a step for scientists dealing with management and environmental technologies as well as environmental education issues.
